Although these kind of events have been held many many times before since about 2014, this is the first time a developer has been contracted to actually build out the concepts and ideas – under a joint venture with MVDC providing the land and Kier doing the building.

Certainly the central area around Bull Hill within the one-way system, where no-one lives at present, but some offices and surface parking are already developed, would be fundmentally changed under the proposals.

The engagement was due to begin in June but now rescheduled July immediately after the General Election.

13 July will also be a market day with additional stalls and street food vendors in the High Street area
