But the National Trust have decided not to open the house and gardens at Polesden Lacey today

Due to the burst water main on Dorking Road Bookham causing a road closure and an unsuitable diversion, Polesden Lacey house and gardens will be closed today.
For those that would like to still enjoy a walk, the car park, toilets and estate will remain open with the only access being via Chapel lane (single lane track in places).
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and will update as soon as we can in regard to the rest of the weekend opening. Thank you for your support.
