Step into Mole Valley this spring with 24 of the best walks in and around the Surrey Hills

Emerge into springtime and Step into Mole Valley with 24 of the best walks in and around the Surrey Hills, with something for everyone including buggy-friendly/accessible paths, heritage trails, routes for nature-lovers and dog walkers, and the best picture-perfect walks for stunning countryside views.

In a post-pandemic drive to boost health and wellbeing and to support our local economy, residents and visitors are invited to step into the great outdoors and explore everything the district has to offer including historical buildings, pretty villages and historic market towns with thriving shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, one of the UK’s largest wine estates, plus lots and lots of charming countryside.

Test out a much drier and less wobbly version of the famous Stepping Stones River Mole crossing by visiting   brand new 3D pavement stickers, located outside Dorking Halls and  at the entrance to the Swan Centre shopping centre in Leatherhead (outside the Mole Valley Employment & Skills Hub).

Friends and families are encouraged to balance on the stepping stones, capture their pose and get creative on social media using the hashtag #StepIntoMoleValley.

Councillor Clayton Wellman, Cabinet Member for Sustainable Economy and Security, said: “After the past two years of pandemic-related lockdowns and restrictions we head into spring with a determined focus to help our residents and visitors stay active, in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle during this new phase of learning to live with Covid-19.

“Mole Valley is blessed with miles of pathways and tracks and we are delighted to showcase just some of what the district has to offer, to help residents and visitors of all ages keep active and stay healthy.”
